This Privacy Policy applies to the website perlerpatterns.app, the PerlerPatterns.app bead pattern maker, interactive pegboard workbench, export services, and customer support communications.
We are committed to user privacy: our core pattern generation tools run client-side in your browser, meaning your uploaded photos and graphics are never stored on our central servers for data mining, facial recognition, or ad targeting.
Uploaded images and client-side processing
When you upload an image to create a fuse bead pattern, the image is loaded into your web browser's local HTML5 Canvas memory. The color quantization algorithm maps your image pixels into Perler, Hama, or Artkal bead color codes directly on your local device.
Your raw uploaded images are not uploaded to or stored on our servers for pattern generation. When using optional AI-assisted pattern prompts, only the descriptive text prompt is sent to our AI model gateway to generate grid coordinate data.
If you are signed in, you may choose to save pattern states, custom color replacements, and grid dimensions to your cloud account history for convenient cross-device access.
Account information & authentication
If you register or sign in via Google One Tap or GitHub OAuth, we receive the basic profile details you authorize, including your public profile name, verified email address, avatar URL, and an account identifier token.
We use this information exclusively to create and identify your account, maintain your saved bead pattern history, track your plan benefits (Single Pass or Pro subscription), and keep your session secure.
We never request or receive access to your personal email inbox, contacts, or unrelated third-party account data.
Billing, transactions, and payment data
When you purchase a Single Pass ($2.99) or a Pro Maker Club subscription ($6.99/month or $39/year), payment transactions are securely processed by our authorized payment service providers (including Waffo).
PerlerPatterns.app never collects, processes, or stores your complete credit card number, debit card CVV, or banking credentials. We receive only transaction metadata, such as transaction IDs, order numbers, plan tier, amount, currency, timestamp, and active subscription status to unlock your digital exports.
Usage logs, diagnostics, and security
Like most modern web services, our hosting and CDN infrastructure automatically records basic diagnostic log data, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and error codes.
These technical logs are maintained strictly for network security, abuse and fraud prevention, performance optimization, and server troubleshooting.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use essential cookies and browser local storage to remember your crafting settings (such as selected brand, grid size, and color theme preferences), maintain your logged-in session, and keep track of dismissed announcement banners.
We use Microsoft Clarity for anonymized behavioral analytics to identify user interface pain points and improve workbench performance. We may also display non-intrusive advertisements via Google AdSense to support free tier availability.
These analytics and ad partners may use cookies or web beacons in accordance with their respective privacy policies. You can manage cookie preferences at any time via your browser settings.
How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps
Information sharing and third-party disclosures
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, saved patterns, or email address to third parties for advertising or marketing lists.
Information is shared strictly with trusted operational infrastructure partners required to deliver our service: Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, and edge routing), Google (authentication and advertising), and Waffo (payment processing). Each vendor is bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Data retention and account deletion
Your saved patterns and account profile remain active for as long as your account is maintained. You can delete individual patterns from your history at any time.
You may request complete account and data deletion at any time by navigating to Account Center or by emailing [email protected]. Upon confirmation, your account record and saved patterns will be permanently deleted, except where retention is required by tax or financial reporting laws.
Your privacy rights & contact information
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as GDPR in Europe or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing activities.
